The Five Year Entrepreneur

Brand design

Briefed to create a brand identity for The Five Year Entrepreneur and a suite of graphical and supporting assets that could then be carried through to other aspects. We also needed to design a new look for the website so it could be re-skinned with the look identity.

We also designed covers for all books in the series ‘The Five Year Entrepreneur’.

As the tone of the brand is one of authority, coaching and development, we wanted to create a logo that could be used as a stamp of authority. We wanted the overall feel of the book covers to be textbook-esque to help with the coaching style content.

We also developed a character illustration (in true Julian Opie style) to represent ‘The Five Year Entrepreneur’ author.

Tom has now worked on a number of projects for me – from company branding, the development of promotional materials, website refreshes to logo development. I have worked with many talented designers in my career but Tom really stands to the fore. As well as being uber-creative and always generating surprising, modern ‘stand out’ designs, he is brilliant to work with … highly responsive, always pragmatic and attuned to the nuances of a client’s brief in a moment. Where others send through one clumsy, generic effort after weeks of waiting, Tom is well versed in iterating novel ideas quickly, in close conversation with clients, to arrive at beautifully crafted solutions. I recommend him (and often do) without hesitation.
